Who We AreBrookside Community Health Center, one of two health centers licensed by Brigham and Women's Hospital, provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive care with services in the following areas:
  • Adult Primary Care
  • Pediatric Primary Care
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology (including midwifery)
  • Family planning
  • Dentistry and Oral Surgery
  • Nutrition/WIC
  • Behavioral Health and Social Services.
Brookside is a teaching site for Harvard Dental School, Boston University Dental School, as well as other Boston area health care professional programs.What You Will Do
  • Scaling and polishing of teeth.
  • Prophylaxis and fluoride treatment of children.
  • Application of sealants.
  • Taking medical histories.
  • Teaching oral hygiene to patients (and community groups when appropriate).
  • Performing initial radiographic and screening examinations, in addition to maintaining radiographic files.
  • Working closely with dentists in delivering comprehensive dentistry.
  • Preparing and transporting instruments to decontamination room maintaining infection control.
  • Participating in staff conferences.
  • Working cooperatively with other center departments.
  • Maintaining adequate levels of supplies with assistance from other personnel.
  • Maintaining patient recall system.
  • Performing related duties as required.
  • Serves on Center-wide Committees.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QualificationsWhat You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Graduate of accredited dental hygiene school and Massachusetts license.
  • Minimum of 3-6 months experience recommended.
  • Fluency in Spanish desirable but not required.
  • Must demonstrate appropriate knowledge of dental development and treatment of pediatric, adults and geriatric patients.
