- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment and selection processes while effectively utilizing defined processes, systems and tools; candidate assessment and sourcing, schedule interviews, interview candidates (virtual or in person), administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checks, lead candidate debrief sessions, make recommendations for hire, deliver employment offers and negotiation and acceptance.
- Develop effective sourcing strategies and tools to identify, attract and engage qualified candidates and effectively build a talent pipeline that delivers strong and diverse talent to meet current and future talent acquisition needs across the Company. Utilize traditional and non-traditional sourcing strategies, such as career fairs, online job fairs, social media, community network events, etc.
- Partner with hiring teams to set expectations and utilize consistent behavioral based interview processes that lead to quality hires. Conduct in-depth intake meetings with hiring managers to ensure alignment on position, impact, expectations and requirements of new opportunities.
- Provide a consistent and positive candidate experience for internal and external candidates throughout the entire recruitment and selection process with proactive communication, feedback and engagement.
- Communicate effectively and proactively throughout the recruitment and selection process with Hiring Managers, Human Resources team and other business leaders.
- Act as a talent advisor to influence and consult Hiring Managers throughout the hiring process to ensure the best talent is hired.
- Analyze the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies and methods to continuously build innovative approaches in our talent acquisition processes.
- Create and utilize ATS reports, dashboards, and other tools to influence the recruiting pipeline and results.
- Ensure compliance with all federal/state/local laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance throughout the recruitment and selection process.
- Manage application/resume database according to company policy.
- Develop partnerships with universities and assist with the coordination of intern programs.
- Support Human Resources team, as necessary, with other special projects or assignments related to talent development and training, etc.
- 7-10+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on talent acquisition.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Organization Development, Communications, Business, etc.)
- HR Certifications a plus, but not required (such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP).
- Possess knowledge and familiarity of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) programs, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with Clear Company preferred, but not required. Experience using an Applicant Management Software required.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, including hiring managers/candidates in remote locations.
- Proficiency in all frequently used business software programs, applications or tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Professional demeanor with demonstrated customer service focus; enthusiastic with “can do” attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative and effective recruiting strategies.
- High degree of confidentiality and professionalism with the ability to exercise sound judgment and the discretion to handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines seamlessly.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development and training concepts.
- A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting and business understanding is required.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- This is largely a sedentary role, but will require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing as necessary.
- This role will require the ability to periodically travel to remote site locations across the Unites States.
- The role operates in a clerical, office setting, based in our corporate office in Schaumburg, IL
- This role offers remote work flexibility with 3 days per week onsite, and 2 days per week remote.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- This role will also be exposed to site locations, such as rail repair shops requiring the use of all appropriate PPE and adherence to site safety rules.
