HydroChemPSC located in Redwood City, CA is looking for a Facility Equipment Operator II working in the Waste Water treatment area to join their safety-conscious team. Also, looking for individuals who have landscaping experience working on a farm and know the in's and outs of handling and running equipment.This position requires availability to start at various times; working 10-12 hour days as needed. Start times could be 6am; 8am; 10am; or 3pm depending on the needs of the business. We want a candidate who has a flexible schedule.Position Summary:The Facility Equipment Operator II is responsible for the safe and proper operations of a wastewater treatment plant and equipment. This position operates, monitors, maintains and troubleshoots the treatment facility, its processes and other equipment.Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma /GED required.
  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs is preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift and/or bobcat is required.
  • 1+ years of wastewater treatment experience is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • A Waste Water Treatment license is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work either shift is required.
Essential Duties:
  • Responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands-on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions.
  • Hands-on operation of the wastewater plant equipment and processes.
  • Operation of special equipment, such as pumps.
  • Operate equipment according to procedures and safe practices.
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job.
  • Performs all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • May assist with the installation and inspections of waste lines and services.
  • May perform the installation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant and pump stations and all of their components.
  • Performs regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
  • Responds to emergencies at the plant and pump stations.
  • Operate forklifts, bobcats or other equipment as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
