Join our team and find out why!We are looking for full-time Auto Technicians to join our busy Toyota service department - we are already one of the top Toyota service departments in the region and are expanding into the building next door due to customer demand! We have an air-conditioned shop and are also the Parts Delivery Distribution Hub for Toyota corporate.***Healthcare is INCLUDED with NO paycheck deductions. Plan is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois - PPO and HMO options.We have had a couple of our longtime Technicians retire and have new immediate openings for Senior Techs! Our Toyota technicians average 13 years working at our dealership and service advisors average 11 years. REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous experience working at a dealership.
  • Toyota or other import experience a plus.
  • ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Communication skills – communicates effectively with others.
  • Time management – managing one’s own time and time of others.
  • Typing – ability to type efficiently in order to enter repair orders.
  • Personal and professional integrity.
  • MUST be able to pass a criminal background check before starting.
  • MUST have a valid Illinois Drivers License.
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform repair.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required and/ if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
  • Document work in a timely fashion.
  • Road-test vehicles when required
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes, keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
  • Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
