With a focus on exceptionally energy-efficient and carbon-neutral buildings, they strive to drive innovation and excellence in the construction industry.Project Manager Level 1 Job Description:Our energy client seeks a dynamic and self-motivated Project Manager Level 1 to join their team. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the documentation and publication of high-quality data that verifies the actual costs and measured performance of energy-efficient and carbon-neutral buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in building design, energy efficiency, and renewable energy systems. This is a 2-year contracted role, minimum, less than 5% travel to Albany or NYC office.Project Manager Level 1 Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborate with project teams to assemble and review cost-related documentation required for awarded projects.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of project workbooks and facilitate milestone payments to project teams.
  • Assemble and review predicted energy performance and operational costs for awarded projects.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of utility billing and energy consumption data.
  • Facilitate the publication of data on the client's microsite and update compiled data regularly.
  • Provide energy use analysis for awarded projects as requested.
  • Identify information for program-wide or project-specific case studies.
  • Build relationships with project team members to obtain required data.
  • Provide technical support to projects across the New Construction Team when required.
Project Manager Level 1 Skills Required:
  • Self-motivated with the ability to think strategically.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, contractors, and internal staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
  • Technical understanding of advanced building design and energy-efficient equipment.
  • Experience with energy modeling tools and Measurement & Verification (M&V).
  • Understanding of the construction industry and financial considerations.
  • Four-year degree preferably in engineering, architecture, or building sciences.
  • Credentialing as a design or energy consultant to a third-party standard.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Detailed understanding of high-performance, carbon-neutral, and clean energy building industries.
  • Experience with performance standards and modeling tools such as ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-20XX, Phius, PHI, ASHRAE 90.1, ENERGY STAR, LEED, WELL, etc.
