Keep reading.CL&D has a great opportunity for an Digital Press Operator in Oconomowoc, WI.The Digital Press Operator will share duties with others on the team to setup and operate multiple pieces of equipment in the press and finishing areas based upon daily schedule. Equipment includes digital press, enhanced finishing equipment, laminator, slitter/rewinder, seamer and other miscellaneous pieces of equipment making customized labels and packaging for sales samples and promotional sales items for consumer products.Responsibilities:
  • Previews job information to determine proper setup and operating procedures.
  • Enter job information into computer system at start and end of each job.
  • Keep area clean to prevent contamination and follow 6S procedures.
  • Adheres to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
  • Maintain serviceability of press and finishing equipment
  • Monitor the quality of produced materials
  • Sets up Press, Finishing Equipment, Laminator, and Seamer as appropriate to operation.
Qualifications and Abilities
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Write simple correspondence and communicate effectively with co-workers.
  • Basic mathematical abilities including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are used to calculate money, weight measurements, volumes, and distances.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Knowledge and capability to read a ruler in 16ths and 32nds increments.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience and/or successful completion of company training program; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
