DescriptionDSHS Forms & Records Analyst 3has an opportunity for a Forms and Records Analyst 3 in the Policy Office located in Lakewood, WA.This position functions as the primary staff specialist responsible for all tasks involved in the development, updating, maintaining , recommending forms and procedures in the Goal Oriented Record (GOR) department under the supervision of the Health Information Management Services (HIMS) director (WMS2) at Western State Hospital. This position is responsible for agenda development, coordinating, facilitating and scheduling for the Medical Records Committee meetings.Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.Some of what you'll be doing:
  • Directs, guides, consults, coordinates and oversees WSH forms and procedures, ensuring the program meets certification regulations BHA, DSHS, RCW and WAC's hospital wide
  • Responsible for processing, gathering information for and responding to requests for procedure initiation or updates with direction from the HIMS Director
  • Consults with management and department heads to design, develop and publish the forms and procedures used in the Goal Oriented Record (GOR) manual
  • Acts as the recorder for Medical Records Committee (MRC), preparing and distributing agenda packets, transcribing minutes, producing final versions of approved forms and procedures
  • Maintain, revises, coordinate and catalogue all Western State Hospital forms and procedures
  • Consults with administrators, supervisors, and operating personnel to determine and define problem areas regarding WSH forms and procedures
  • Analyze forms and procedures, identify potential problem areas and recommend solutions
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with CMS standards and regulations
  • Conduct medical records reviews ensuring quality and accuracy
